For the past few years, The Regis Group has had the opportunity to work with ECHOWorks (www.ECHOWorks.org) and its Marketing Director, Karen Russell. The objective of TRG’s work with ECHOWorks has been to raise awareness of ECHOWorks’ work and efforts in the community.
ECHOWorks is a nonprofit organization based out of Leesburg, Virginia and operating throughout Loudoun County. ECHO’s acronym clearly spells out what the organization believes and works toward: Every Citizen Has Opportunities. ECHOWorks provides citizens with disabilities, who would not otherwise have a chance to be employed, with employment opportunities through “enclaves.” Through this effort, ECHOWorks provides a service not only to the individuals it serves, but also to the families of those it serves.
In addition to providing jobs through various job sites in the county, the organization provides transportation to a large part of the individuals who participate. ECHOWorks works diligently year after year to meet financial objectives through various fundraising events, including a Tennis Classic in the Spring and a gift-wrapping fundraiser during the holiday season. ECHOWorks is also the recipient of donations and grants, which enable the organization to accept additional individuals into their program.
For their hard work and dedication to their members, their families, and the community, we give a Tip of the Hat to ECHOWorks!
